Nina Planck is a remarkable woman who has championed "real food " -- the way food was prepared and grown before the days of industrialized food production. You know, food in its natural state , free from industrial interference, hormones, pesticides etc etc. Even the meats come from free range, grass fed animals.
To this end, she has organized Real Food Markets --- farmer's markets which sell food made/grown by local farmers, artisans and purveyors of traditional foods. The foods come from the North East states.
There are 2 locations in NYC. One in Soho and the other in Greenwich Village. Weekends only.

This is very cool stuff. Very yogic too. It is what the yogis call "satvic" = "pure" food that is natural, wholesome and promotes good health, joyousness, calm attitude and peacefulness. Satvic foods enhance your meditation practice.
